So much of my bad temper rose to my face that it is a wonder it didn't make a scar; but I was cold enough to all outward appearances. Tom took Pet home early, and I hope they walked in the moonlight for hours. Tom is the kind of man that any pretty girl who is sympathetic enough in the moonlight could comfort for anything.
