"True," said Jen; "and why should these wretches have murdered that man?" "I don't care two pins for honor, major! I love Isabella, and I intend to marry her. "You know yourself how hard a time a beautiful young widow has, Mrs. Henderson," he said in the tone of voice that always makes his patients glad to take his worst doses. He got his blessing and me—with a warning. "I am glad to see you, major," said she, holding out her hand. "You have saved me the trouble of a journey, as I was on my way to your house.".
