If Maddoc was surprised, he did not show it. "You struck oil, I see, Jacobs."I tried logging in using my phone number and I
was supposed to get a verification code text, but didn't
get it. I clicked resend a couple time, tried the "call
me instead" option twice but didn't get a call
either. the trouble shooting had no info on if the call
me instead fails.There was
"You'd be taken all care of, ma'am."

Conrad
“Perhaps we ought not to have taken any money,” said Johnny. The other boy laughed. “My old man would whale the tar out of me if he caught me monkeying around up there.” Beauty dressed herself, and, meanwhile, news of her arrival was sent to her sisters, who came in haste with their husbands. They were both extremely unhappy. The eldest had married a young man who was as handsome as nature could make him, but he was so in love with his own face, that he could think of nothing else from morning to night, and cared nothing for the beauty of his wife. The second had married a very witty and clever man, but he only made use of his ability to put everybody in a bad temper, beginning with his wife. “Must have been fun,” was Jerry’s comment. “And if you’ve made a friend of Feather-in-the-Wind, you ought to be proud. He’ll be useful, too, as he’s the chief of that bunch of Apaches. Once an Indian is a friend, you know, he’s a friend for good.”.
